Our practice nurse team operate a pre-bookable appointment system, and our telephonists are able to arrange appointments for you. Nurse-led disease management clinics operate for diabetes, respiratory problems, and hypertension. These clinics are supervised by the doctor. Telephone consultations are available by contacting the practice.
The practice nurses are able to carry out a range of procedures including dressings, injections, routine immunisations, ear syringing, smears and ECGs. In addition they can offer advice on diet, and lifestyle.
Practice Manager
Rosemary Mehta has stepped up to the role of Practice Manager after over 22 years working at the practice.
Deputy Practice Manager
Michelle Holland is our deputy practice manager. Michelle has worked at Hodnet Medical centre for over 32 years and knows all aspects of the surgery.
Sharon Worrall is our experienced medical secretary dealing with referrals and all aspects of secretarial and admin work.
Admin team
Our experienced administrative team will be your first point of contact with the surgery, either on the telephone or at the reception desk. They deal with appointment bookings, patient enquiries, clerical and prescription queries amongst an array of other tasks. They may need to ask you details of your query in order to direct you appropriately. All our staff treat your information with the utmost respect and confidentiality. Please be aware that staff working on reception and answering the phone are working under the instruction of the doctor. Any questions they ask you are required information for the doctor or nurse. They do occasionally come under attack from patients just for doing their job! Please be understanding. We do respect your right not to give this information if you would rather not, please do not be offended - just say you would rather not give details. Be aware that you may be booked inappropriately if we don't know the reason for your appointment and you may need to re-attend to see the correct person.

Care and Community Coordinator (C&CC)
Angela Beckett is our C&CC, supporting our patients.
District Nurses
Our District Nurses are based at Market Drayton. Patients already on their caseload can contact the district nurses directly by telephoning 01630 650734. New patients need to be referred by a GP.
Health Visitor
Our Health Visitors are based at Market Drayton Primary Care Centre. They are involved in preventative care, and are able to offer advice on the health of mothers and babies, children, the elderly and the handicapped. The Health Visitors also carry out developmental checks. They can be contacted during working hours on 01630 685545.
Community Midwife
The Community Midwife undertakes maternity care with your doctor. Messages may be left at Market Drayton Primary Care Centre by telephoning 01630 650727. The Community Midwife, who will discuss all aspects of your antenatal care with you.
