A Minor Surgery clinic is regularly held by Dr Mehta, in which a number of joint injections are carried out, following a surgery consultation.
Weekly cervical smear clinics are held by Sr Willicombe, and are by appointment only.
Disease Prevention & Monitoring Clinics
Regular clinics to detect and monitor certain chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure and asthma are run by the doctors and the practice nurse.
Asthma sufferers are invited to attend for annual review by the doctors. Advice and support is offered by our practice nurse, and Sr Willicombe. Patients are also offered spirometry. Unfortunately many of these patients continue to smoke. Smoking cessation advice is also available by contacting the Help to Quit service on 01630 653881. All Asthmatic patients should consider having an annual 'Flu injection and are asked to make an appointment in our flu clinics which start in late September each year.
Led by the doctors, this clinic offers general advice and monitoring to patients suffering from diabetes. Patients are invited to attend for annual review, and a specialist diabetic foot care clinic appointment is also offered.
Help 2 Quit
Smoking cessation advice is provided by Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust. A Help 2 Quit clinic is held at Market Drayton Healthcare Centre every Monday & Friday.
